Clinical Expertise
Dr. McGuire is a postdoctoral clinician who is dedicated to providing evidence-based treatment for children, adolescents, and their families. She specializes in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She is certified in Modular Approach to Treatment for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, or Conduct Problems (MATCH-ADTC), an evidence-based treatment for children ages 6-17, with emotional and/or behavioral challenges. She is currently working towards her certification in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), an evidence-based treatment for children 2-7 years-old with disruptive behavior disorders. Dr. McGuire values a flexible, strengths-based approach, tailoring interventions to honor each client’s unique abilities and creating personalized, effective treatment plans. Dr. McGuire has also led treatments guided by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Summer Treatment Protocol (STP), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

She continuously reflects on her own biases and privilege to ensure that she provides care that is not only evidence-based but also culturally attuned and trauma-informed.
Training & Research
While pursuing her doctoral degree in clinical psychology with a concentration in children and families, Dr. McGuire gained extensive experience delivering cognitive behavioral interventions in outpatient, intensive outpatient, inpatient, community mental health, and school settings. Prior to joining Cambridge Psychology Group, Dr. McGuire worked in range of settings including Baker Center for Children and Families, Boston Child Study Center (BCSC), McLean Franciscan Child and Adolescent Inpatient, and McLean Anxiety Mastery Program (MAMP).

Dr. McGuire enjoys spending time outdoors, skiing, hiking, traveling, trying new foods (especially desserts), and snuggling with her Frenchie, Bogey.
