Online Group Therapy

At Cambridge Psychology Group, we value group therapy. We believe that it can be an essential part of treatment, yet it is often hard to find trusted groups that match your needs. That is why we have started a variety of different therapy groups and are continuing to expand our offerings.

What We Offer

Currently, we have 16 different therapy groups for many different goals and topics. In all our groups, we emphasize evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Sessions blend therapy skills with group discussions and experiential exercises to help you apply what is learned to real life. The groups aim to foster a caring and inclusive community centered around compassion and understanding. Within our community, peers can support each other, learn from one another, and grow together.

Group Tracks

Currently, our groups can be organized into 3 broad categories, which we refer to as tracks:

General Track:

This set of groups offers a unique blend of different topics and skills. The groups focus on helping you manage anxiety, depression, perfectionism, emotion dysregulation, interpersonal difficulties, grief, substance use, procrastination, and other problems. Detailed descriptions of each group are below.

OCD Track:

This is an innovative collection of groups specifically for individuals diagnosed with OCD and their family and loved ones. We offer several different group formats. Some groups focus on Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), while others focus on social support and skill development. Please see detailed descriptions below.

Substance Use Track:

Our Substance Use Track is a unique collection of therapy groups for adults who want to reduce or stop using substances. They aim to help individuals make these changes easier by reducing unhelpful patterns of thinking, mood, and relationships that often contribute to overuse. Detailed group descriptions are below.

Our Group Leaders

Our group sessions are led by psychologists and social workers, most of whom have trained at McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Our group leaders are experts in their fields and are passionate about their chosen topics.

Group Members

CPG’s group therapy sessions are held weekly via live Zoom and typically include 6 to 12 attendees per meeting. Sessions include new members who are just starting to get the feel of group therapy, as well as attendees who have been benefiting from group therapy for years. Because our groups focus on specific topics, it is likely that your fellow group members will have had experiences similar to your own, which can offer a unique source for connection, acceptance, and inspiration.

We Welcome Your Referrals
